Our fixed-gear bike with Pista handlebars is inspired by original velodromes. This bike doesn’t leave out anyone though. Like our other fixie model, the frame of this bike is tig-welded steel with horizontal dropouts, perfect for urban commuting and recreational riding. Day in and day out, this bike will remain a trustworthy mode of transportation.
EMBRACE YOUR INNER COMPETITOR
Traditionally track bikes were built for racing. With the downward-sloped handlebars and slightly different geometry, this frame encourages cyclists to ride slightly hunched over. This posture encourages you to ride hard and fast and more aerodynamically. The handlebars also provide more clearance than any other bar shape for your arms when sprinting out of the saddle.
Narrow tires reduce rolling resistance and riding fixed encourages faster acceleration. With a fixed-gear bike, your movements and the bike’s movements are in sync. It doesn’t move unless you are pedaling, which makes for a great workout. Ultimately, riding a fixie encourages a closer bond with your bike; it moves when you move.
PERFECTLY ACCOMMODATING WITH A FLIP-FLOP HUB
Our fixies come equipped with a flip-flop hub, so you can ride exactly how you want to ride when you ride. Riding fixed may seem intimidating initially. Perhaps riding fixed can be something to work up to or perhaps it’s not for you at all. Regardless, it’s entirely your choice. With a flip-flop hub, you can remove the rear wheel, flip it around, and re-install it. You can ride this bike as a fixed-gear or as a regular single-speed with a freewheel, which allows you to coast on your bike.
As with every bike in our line, we handpick each element that shows up on this bike. With Protek cranks, a Sunrun freewheel, a KMC chain, Well-Go pedals, stainless steel spokes, and Promax brakes, you’ll have the smoothest, most reliable ride. Every element on our fixed-gears is optimized for city riding. The Wanda tires dominate potholes and rough asphalt while the sealed bottom bracket protects your bike against dirt, mud, and moisture. These translate into a long-lasting mode of transportation with infrequent maintenance.
